Growth Kinetic Parameters and Prediction of Growth and Zearalenone and Deoxynivalenol Production Boundaries by Three Fusarium asiaticum Strains Isolated from Wheat

چکیده
Fusarium species can cause head blight of cereals worldwide. This is accompanied by impacts on yield and contamination grains with mycotoxins. Regulations, maximum limits, exist for the relevant mycotoxins (e.g., type A B trichothecenes, zearalenone fumonisins). There interest in a better understanding effect key interacting abiotic factors which determine colonization mycotoxin production small grain cereals. Thus, this study examined ecophysiological relationship between temperature water availability (10–35 °C; activity, aw, 0.87–0.98) growth (zearelenone, ZEA; deoxynivalenol, DON; 3-acetyl 3-Ac-DON nivalenol, NIV) three strains F. asiaticum, pathogen isolated from China becoming important other global regions. These were carried out simulated wheat-based matrices that identified optimum (25 °C/0.98 aw) marginal boundary conditions (35 °C/0.90 all strains. Contrarily, different mycotoxigenic profiles observed (p < 0.05). Four assessed produced at 30 °C while cold inhibited NIV ZEA, never detected <20 <15 °C, respectively. Optimal varied each toxin ZEA was best °C/0.93–0.95 DON, 0.98 aw/20–30 °C. Probabilistic models used to predict regulated asiaticum. will be beneficial development mitigation strategies control pre- post-harvest

Biocontrol of Fusarium graminearum Growth and Deoxynivalenol Production in Wheat Kernels with Bacterial Antagonists
Fusarium graminearum is the main causal pathogen affecting small-grain cereals, and it produces deoxynivalenol, a kind of mycotoxin, which displays a wide range of toxic effects in human and animals. Bacterial strains isolated from peanut shells were investigated for their activities against F. graminearum by dual-culture plate and tip-culture assays. Among them, twenty strains exhibited potent...

The production of deoxynivalenol (DONI) on rice, corn, wheat, and barley grains by Fusarium graminearum Schw. NRRL 5883 was investigated. Highest yields (91.9-202 ppm) were obtained on rice; yields on the other substrates were: corn (34.1-84.5 ppm), wheat (3.6-24.4 ppm), and barley (0-6.6 ppm). Fifty isolates of Fusarium from corn inoculated in the field in 1979 with a mixture of strains of F. ...

Fusarium mycotoxins deoxynivalenol (DON) and zearalenone (ZEN) are the mostcommon contaminants in cereals worldwide, causing a wide range of adverse health effects onanimals and humans. Many environmental factors can affect the production of these mycotoxins. Here, we have used response surface methodology (RSM) to optimize the Fusarium graminearumstrain 29 culture conditions for maximal toxin p...
